Celine Dion’s Paris Couture Week outfits are the best thing you’ll see today

We’ve said it before and we will say it again, no one brings joy to the world like Celine Dion at Paris Couture Fashion Week.

No one does Paris Couture Week like Celine Dion. In fact no one does a look (read: lewk) like Celine Dion. What is normally the most serious of the international fashion weeks – where only the elite fashion world are entitled to a front-row seat – Celine Dion reminds us fashion is fun.

Ahead of her sell-out show in London’s Hyde Park this Friday, the singer took her status as global style icon to new heights on the streets of Paris and we were more than here for it – we salute her joie de vivre, or rather her joie de vêtements .

With a distinct disregard for playing it safe, Celine Dion at Paris Couture Week has become the industry’s favourite fashion combination, and it’s not just the clothes that floor us, it’s her attitude in general. When Celine sees a look coming down the catwalk that pulls at her fashion heartstrings, she’s unafraid to shed a commemorative tear. A look that is so jaw-droppingly fantastic, Celine will applaud it as the model sashays past her.

This season saw Celine take on her most incredible looks yet: a Richard Quinn (a designer that is notoriously hard to wear) floral bubble-ball gown with latex tights and accessorised with a pair of Weimaraners, naturally. Then there was the black Chanel unitard that acted as Celine’s most pared-back look, deliberately asymmetric jeans (so wild they could break the internet of their own accord) by Ksenia Schnaider paired with a pink feather Attico bustier, a hot pink Miu Miu ruffle dress and an Off-White outfit that Celine decided was so punchy it didn’t even warrant wearing a bottom half.

Yesterday saw Celine take on an Iris Van Herpen dress for the designer’s runway show that was a real-life optical illusion – with a plunging neckline and a crocheted overlay giving a 3D effect and a cinched waist, there was only one woman for this dress.

With Paris Couture Week coming to a close this Thursday, our days with Celine are limited. Grasp them while you can.

It’s no easy feat taking on a Chanel unitard in the middle of a European heatwave, but for Celine, it’s a walk in the park (in strappy stilettos).

These are the kind of trousers you look at and immediately think, ‘Who on earth can carry these off ?’ I’ll tell you, Celine Dion can. And to dinner, no less.

No pants, no problem. Gigi Hadid might have worn this Off-White look on the catwalk, but Celine is making it work IRL.

No couture outfit is adequately accessorised unless your pets are involved.

Another day, another pair of trousers you didn’t think any mortal could pull off. So it’s confirmed, Celine Dion is not mortal, she’s a goddess.

It’s not the yellow ruffle organza skirt that wins fashion points here, nor is it the double-breasted tuxedo blazer.  No, it’s the deliberately mismatched the heels that quantify a fashion fist-pump.

The internet has official broken. We applaud you, Celine.
