Cardi B has made straightforward appearances on the front row at Fashion Week before, but this season she decided to make much more of an event out of her arrival.
The rapper made her Paris Fashion Week entrance covered head-to-toe in a floral Richard Quinn outfit. And we’re talking literally, head-to-toe.
Stepping out in front of the the sunshine-soaked Eiffel Tower, the Bronx rapper confirmed that the floral head covering is as difficult to see through as it appears.
“Make sure a car don’t hit me, cause a bitch can’t see,” she told her bodyguard.
The 26-year-old apologised to fans for missing Fashion Weeks so far, telling them:
“I’m here to serve it to you…and serve it to you cold.”
The all-encompassing floral design first made an appearance on the runway at British designer Quinn’s London Fashion Week show in February, alongside similarly covered-up looks.
Karlie Kloss then modelled one of Quinn’s eclectic outfits for British Vogue in the summer.

By choosing Paris to showcase the look, Cardi B also drew attention to the country’s controversial laws on full-face coverings.
Since 2011 it has been illegal to wear “any article of clothing intended to conceal the face” in public spaces - a ban that affects women wearing full-face Islamic veils. It is almost a year since the UN declared the law to be a violation of human rights.
