Burberry has announced that it’s latest show will fly the flag for LGBTQ+ communities

Today Burberry announced that their upcoming London Fashion Week show will be in celebration and support of LGBTQ+ communities.

The show, which will be Christopher Bailey’s last as Creative Director for the brand, will encompass LGBTQ+’s emblem – the rainbow – on many traditional Burberry pieces, even weaving its way into the Burberry check.

The collection will be shown on Saturday, February 17th and the pieces will be available for purchase directly after the show, following Bailey’s pioneering see-now-buy-now formats.

“My final collection here at Burberry is dedicated to - and in support of - some of the best and brightest organisations supporting LGBTQ+ youth around the world,” said Bailey of his last project at the house. “There has never been a more important time to say that in our diversity lies our strength, and our creativity.”

The brand will continue their support towards LGBTQ+ communities after Bailey’s departure in March this year with a number of initiatives. These initiatives are already being put in place with Burberry making donations to the Albert Kennedy Trust, the Trevor Project and the ILGA – organisations which aim to broaden the awareness, mentoring and resources for the LGBTQ+ communities.

The Burberry check never looked so good.
