There was only one ticket in town last night, as faces from the international fashion industry arrived at London's Savoy Hotel for the British Fashion Awards.
The ceremony celebrated the successes and creativity of British designers and talent. Fashion's top women were scooping up the gongs. Phoebe Philo, creative director of Céline, won Designer of the Year. Naomi Campbell won a Special Recognition award, Lara Stone was named Model of 2010 and Alexa Chung crowned for Best British Style (the only award voted by the public).
Meanwhile, the late Alexander McQueen, celebrated throughout the night, was honoured with the post-humous BFC Outstanding Achievement in Fashion award. Lady Gaga's influential stylist Nicola Formichetti won the Isabella Blow Award for Fashion Creator. Shoe genius Nicholas Kirkwood won for Accessory Designer and bag behemoth Mulberry won Designer Brand.
