It’s time to bring your nightdress out of the bedroom and into the ballroom, boardroom or bar.
Upping the ante on the simple slip dress, boudoir dresses bring something slightly sexier to the style, and the runway was awash with options. From Nensi Dojaka’s silky styles to Christopher Kane’s floor-sweeping slips, slipping into something more comfortable never looked so chic.
As the name suggests, boudoir dresses are built to look like they’re destined for the bedroom, with lashings of lace and silky-feel fabrics featuring prominently. But compared to your normal nightie, they’re thick enough to wander around in without worrying about baring your bum cheeks and long enough to let you stride with ease.
