From warm caramel hues to relaxed silhouettes, these 70s-inspired jackets are set to become the wardrobe staples you reach for year after year.
Spring is just around the corner, and those brown suede jackets that dominated last autumn are still going strong. From jackets to boots, this buttery-soft fabric is popping up everywhere – and it’s easy to see why.
Not only is it the perfect lightweight layer for transitional weather and those cool mornings and evenings when you want something easy but still stylish, but it also pairs beautifully with other trending pieces like barrel-leg jeans and sleek silver trainers.
Bella Hadid, Hailey Bieber and Emily Ratajkowski have all been spotted sporting 70s-inspired suede and it’s been enjoying a moment on the spring/summer 2025 catwalks too.
Isabel Marant brought a bohemian flair with fringed, slouchy cowgirl-inspired silhouettes, while Prada played with texture and colour, sending deep ochre and pea-green shades down the catwalk. Miu Miu, on the other hand, elevated the look with heavily embellished low-slung belts and sunburst yellow sunglasses.

The high street has quickly caught on, offering suede styles that look just as luxurious as those seen at the shows. While the classic tan biker remains a key player this season, the latest suede jackets are proving to be anything but outdated. With fresh details like cropped cuts, bomber silhouettes and lighter stone shades, it’s clear that suede jackets are here to stay.
Ahead, we’ve rounded up nine of the best suede jackets to shop now.
Sézane Terry jacket
If you’re not sure how to wear suede, stick to neutral tones and denim. This Sézane jacket pairs perfectly with jeans, whether that’s a bootleg, barrel or straight style. Just add a white T-shirt and matching suede ankle boots.

Stradivarius faux suede jacket
For a simple but stylish outfit, wear this light-toned jacket with cream barrel-leg jeans and a ribbed knit. Chunky Converse keep it casual, while a structured crossbody bag adds polish. If you’re worried about 8am coffee spills, swap for a darker shade.
Next grey suedette bomber jacket
Next has nailed relaxed luxury with this suede bomber. The rounded shoulders and loose fit give it a vintage feel, while the collarless design keeps it modern. Perfect with tailored trousers and Mary Janes for an effortless look.
Topshop faux suede hooded jacket
Topshop’s suede jacket comes with fluffy faux shearling, which is great for those bright but freezing days. Pair it with mocha shearling-lined boots for a cosy, co-ordinated look or throw it over a ribbed midi dress for a chic contrast.
Whistles camel Bohdi western biker jacket
An investment piece, this Whistles biker jacket is made from soft suede with stitch details that give it a slightly structured shape.
H&M single-breasted blazer
A lightweight suede blazer is a great spring layer, and this H&M one has a relaxed, oversized feel. Wear it with straight-leg jeans and loafers for an easy everyday outfit.
Zara faux suede jacket
If tan or brown suede isn’t for you, this Zara jacket is a great alternative. It comes in classic shades, but we love this lighter hue for spring. Wear it with ecru denim for a tonal outfit or indigo jeans for a contrast.
Cotton On Dakota faux suede jacket
The aviator jacket gets an update with Cotton On’s Dakota style. In a warm sherpa shade with faux shearling details, it’s one of the cosiest high street finds.
