These stylish Christmas gifts are set to be top of your wishlist for 2024. All approved by Stylist’s fashion director, they’re the perfect purchases for the chicest women in your life – yourself included.
Gift-giving is truly one of life’s small pleasures, and finding the perfect thing for someone will never get old. Meeting a friend after gifting them a new top and seeing them wearing it is a special kind of buzz.
As a fashion director, I suppose I’ve created a career out of picking out nice things. Buying gifts is like an extreme form of editing. While I love giving gifts to others, I never have a ready-made list of things I would like for myself – there’s something a bit odd about being asked what you’d want. Maybe it’s the pressure to say the right thing. Usually, I play it safe and ask for Aesop handwash – a top-tier gift, by the way. Always wanted and always needed. I’ll definitely be checking out our beauty writers’ run-down of the best beauty gifts for this year for some fresh inspiration, too.
Anyway, this is the year that all that changes. I’ve not only put together a list, but also a whole online gallery of what I would like for Christmas. A mix of fancy gifts for fashion lovers and some joyful interiors touches – all sure-fire winners that you and your friends are going to love and wear for years to come. Happy gifting.
Ian Snow green and blue Katran vase
I feel like so much love went into the making of this lovely Katran vase that it would elevate any kitchen shelf.
Katran is a material handmade by upcycling cotton waste from the fashion industry. It’s nice to think something so unique and beautiful came from off-cuts.
It isn’t watertight but doesn’t need any extra adornment.
Shop Ian Snow green and blue Katran vase at Glassette.com, £20
Arket balloon-sleeve dress
I have a friend who always buys a new red dress for Christmas day. This has always struck me as being such an incredibly fabulous thing to do.
As bold red has been the colour of the season for the longest time, there are loads of great options out there.
I love the voluminous sleeves and loose shape of this dress from Arket. Wearing this, you instantly make a statement while keeping comfortable, too.
Jigsaw gold-plated molten hair tie
Have you ever seen a more elegant hair tie? I can really see this gorgeous molten shaped piece styled with a simple black roll neck and wide-leg trousers for instant impact.
While my hair is too fine for this, it would make a great gift for girlfriends – something you wouldn’t buy for yourself but would love to receive.
It looks and feels like a treat – great for day-to-day use and, crucially, not breaking the bank.
Completed Works gold-tone pearl carving earrings
I was thrilled to hear that Seasons, a new online retailer, was launching its platform on Next.
I’ve been after a pair of earrings to elevate any look and this timeless pearl pair from Completed Works will look relevant for many seasons to come.

Smythson Nile blue stars Panama notebook
You really can’t go wrong with a notebook when it comes to gift-giving. It’s something that people always need and want.
No matter how many I seem to buy, I’m always in need of a new one. And this heavenly celestial one from Smythson feels suitably special.
Patou x Onitsuka Tiger cotton candy trainers
A pair of Onitsuka Tigers has been on my wishlist for the longest time. So long, that I really need to treat myself.
Perhaps I was waiting for its new collaboration with French fashion house Patou.
This pair of blossom pink Mexico 66 trainers is exactly what a drab January wardrobe will need.
Damson Madder hand-painted bow-handle mug
I really want everything that Damson Madder creates. This adorable mug is the perfect mix of chic and cosy, and I’d love it in every colour variation.
If you wish, you can even get a cute little hand-painted saucer for it for £20 (pictured).
The brand launched its first lifestyle collection last month, just in time for Christmas gifting. The hand-painted gingham platter I had my eye on has sold out already, so don’t wait to buy.
Toast splatter enamel platter in olive
Platters are such a great gift. They feel celebratory, as they are all about sharing food, and are so useful around Christmas time when you have guests.
I love that this Toast one is porcelain-infused enamel, which feels fancy yet practical, and the splatter design will go with all your other ceramics.
Kurt Geiger London Chelsea shopper bag
I know I’m not the only one hefting around multiple bags on the regular, and it doesn’t feel very chic.
A large leather tote is the answer here. The Chelsea Shopper by Kurt Geiger is big enough to hold your laptop, make-up bag and a bit of impromptu shopping on the way home.
The bright red colour will add punch to a neutral winter coat, but it also comes in black and camel if brights are not your thing.
TBCo red stripe cotton pyjamas
A good pair of pyjamas is such a joy and are an essential at this time of year. This gorgeous striped pair by B Corp-certified brand TBCo is top of my list.
They’re the perfect cut for comfortable lounging and they even come in a cotton pouch with a matching scrunchie.
The brand offers lots of different prints, some with matching mini styles for kids, too. So cute.
Mango kitten heel coco boots
A good pair of ankle boots are invaluable and will look just as good with jeans as a long-sleeved flowing dress. This gorgeous pair from Mango is a steal with change from £50 (just a penny, but still).
I love them in the textured burgundy finish, but they also come in a simple black that you could wear forever.
Kitten heels are obviously essential for comfort, but very of the moment, too.
Reiss x Les 100 Ciels Brook wool and cashmere jumper
A cashmere jumper will always be on my Christmas wishlist. Hands down the most practical yet luxurious gift combined.
I love this elegant unisex collaboration between Reiss and Les 100 Ciels, a brand with a focus on cashmere.
The muted khaki hue of this knit means it will go with everything, and I will be wearing it with everything too.

Loeffler Randal Leonie bow-embellished leather flats
I am absolutely still loving a ballet pump, and the spring/summer 2025 catwalks seem to suggest that this style is going nowhere fast.
I love this bold cherry red pair from Loeffler Randal. They’d look perfect with slim-leg jeans with that khaki knit above from Reiss in a large slouchy size.
Shop Loeffler Randal Leonie bow embellished leather flats at Net-a-Porter.com, £197
Pandora organically shaped open hoop earrings
Gold hoops are always my go-to, and this fabulous pair from the Pandora Essence collection is my new favourite.
I love the organic, slightly wavey shape and I feel like I’ll wear these forever.
They look just as good with a simple white shirt for the office as they will with a draped silk top and tailored trousers for a night out.
H&M broderie anglais-detail poplin blouse
This is such a great gift for your girlfriends. Everyone is going to love that statement collar, and it looks much more expensive than its £19.99 price tag.
Another bonus is that it is 100% cotton, so it will feel cool and wear well. Pair it with a pale denim jean and a metallic flat for low-key festive chic.
Uniqlo x Anya Hindmarch Heattech socks
Socks may seem like a boring gift, but not when they’re part of a collaboration between Anya Hindmarch and Uniqlo.
I just love the red and pink combo of this fun pair with Anya’s signature eye motif. I would wear them dressed down with a cardi, jeans and loafer to give the look a festive twist.
More muted colours are available and they use Heattech technology, so are guaranteed to keep you warm. A fun and inexpensive gift for all.
