Whether layered up with socks or styled with jeans, these sandals will stretch out summer.
Although it seems like summer has only really just gotten started, September is just around the corner. And soon, it will be time to pack the denim shorts, flip-flops and tank tops away to the back of the wardrobe for another year. There are, however, a few ways to extend the lifespan of your warm-weather wardrobe, and almost all of them start with our shoes.
While sandals are often reserved for warm days, whether strolling along the beach or pounding the pavements in the city, closed-toe options could be the key to making the holiday-ready style suitable for autumn as well. In particular, we’re looking at pairs that you can wear with socks, such as fisherman styles and mules, or designs that keep more of your toes covered. Perfect for those of us who aren’t keen on showing off our feet.
Keep scrolling to see nine of our favourite styles. Spoiler alert: we’re including the recently revived jelly shoe – a sure favourite for retro styling.
