We’ve all been there: you’ve been invited to a last-minute soiree, but you have absolutely nothing to wear. So, ignoring your bursting wardrobe, you turn to the internet for help. You track down the perfect outfit, drop it into your digital shopping basket and then you’re struck by that sudden realisation: there’s no way your dream ensemble will be shipped and delivered in time for tomorrow’s event.

All out of options, you dash to the high street on your lunchbreak and scour the shops for something, anything to wear. But, with even that fail-safe black jumpsuit out-of-stock, you're forced to go through your dirty washing basket and a bit of last-minute ironing.

Now, though, that’s all about to change. And it’s all thanks to ASOS.

That’s right: ASOS is now offering ‘instant’ delivery.

The service, branded as “Asos Instant” costs £12.95 for orders placed before 10am, compared to £9.95 for the existing next-day delivery option. It will be available every day except Saturday.

There’s just one snag: at the moment, the scheme is only available for those living in one of London’s 122 postcodes. However, if all goes well, then the option will be extended across the UK in the upcoming months.

We are excited about the introduction of ASOS Instant and will continue to explore new options that add convenience and choice for ASOS shoppers,” said Matt Rogers, delivery solutions and returns director at ASOS.

Sure, £12.95 is a little steep – but, with Christmas party season almost upon us, the the timing couldn’t be more perfect.
