They managed to keep their low key wedding ceremony last Saturday 23rd a secret from the press, and surprised the world by releasing details they’d wed five days later.

And now Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are ready to give the world a look at their special day, releasing pictures of Angelina’s very unique wedding dress and details of their French ceremony.

The Hollywood star, who wed her partner of nine years at their home in France at Château Miraval, was wearing a custom-made Versace dress.

The gown was a stunning Atelier Versace creation and was designed by Donatella Versace.

The white silk satin frock featured a fitted bodice with simple thin straps and some ruching at the bust. It also had a plain cinched-in waist but kicked out to a full flowing skirt.

At the back there was an elongated train, with illustrations by her children embroidered onto the silk veil. Master tailor Luigi Massi hand-sewed a number of the children's designs onto both the back of the dress and the full-length veil.

As the couple were keen to involve their children as much as possible in the ceremony, sons Maddox, 13 and Pax, 10, walked their mother down the aisle, both wearing black suits.

Zahara, nine, wore a dress designed by Adama Kebe and Vivienne, six, wore a white dress, who took the role of flower girl tossing petals in the pathway of the bride.

Vivienne’s twin Knox, who wore a suit, and Shiloh, eight, who wore black dress shorts, shoes, white shirt and a black tie and top hat, were the ring bearers.

The couple’s rings were made by jeweller Robert Procop, who had also created Angelina’s engagement ring, an emerald-cut diamond worth approximately £301,563 ($500,000).

On the decision to get her children involved with designing her dress, Angelina said: "Luigi is like family to me and I couldn't imagine anyone else making this dress. He knows and cares for the children and it was great fun putting it together."

The bride also wore Versace silk satin pumps on her feet.

In the world exclusive to HELLO! magazine, which was in conjunction with People in the US, the couple said: "It was important to us that the day was relaxed and full of laughter. It was such a special day to share with our children and a very happy time for our family.
