Iconic London hotel Claridges have teamed up with the french fashion house this holiday season, inviting long-term guest Alber Elbaz to design a Christmas tree to sit in their Art Deco lobby. The result - revealed in the video below, is just as kookily chic as the label's signature evening wear - with Alber Ebaz made over into a silk doll, and enjoying a Christmassy high tea as the tree is unveiled.

Forget tinsel and garish baubles, this fashionable fir features marionettes hand-made in the Lanvin atelier. And Mr Elbaz makes a 'star turn' himself at the top of the tree - appearing in the festive guise of fairy wings and a wand. Naturally, his trademark glasses and bowtie, are included. It's enough to put our own decorating efforts to shame!

Commenting on the collaboration, Lanvin Creative Director Alber Elbaz said, "I hope the tree brings a big heart of joy to all who work and stay at Claridge's hotel: It's my way to say a very Merry Christmas.”
