Lightweight linen, loose cuts and bright and bold shades will see the two-pieces slot into summer.
Working out what to wear in the hot and sweaty (or chilly and drizzly) summer months isn’t always easy, and this season’s changeable weather only intensifies the challenge. Picking transitional pieces that can be layered for all eventualities seems to be the best plan of action. A crochet shirt, white jeans or a comfortable sandal will see you through come rain or shine. But when adding in the often strict dress codes of office environments, sometimes a suit is the safest option.
While some suits may be crafted from wool or cut quite closely for a figure-hugging fit, summertime styles lend themselves to being lighter and looser. Linen and cotton will keep you cool, pastel shades feel appropriately seasonal and less form-fitting cuts create a more laidback yet still formal feel.
We’ve rounded up nine options that will not only brighten up your workwear wardrobes but can also be worn for a whole host of occasions, from dinners with friends to fabulous and fancy affairs.
