Nothing gets us more excited about Christmas than when the shops start putting up their festive window displays, and this year there are a bumper crop of designs. From the Disney Princess windows at Harrods to the Anya Hindmarch workshop at Selfridges, see the most creative Christmas window displays of 2012 - which we'll be updating with more impressive designs.

2012 Christmas Windows: Liberty
Liberty's window displays are always visually stunning - and for Christmas the store took the Victorian age of the steam train, and Queen Victoria's train carriage/saloon as the starting point for their designs. Named 'The Liberty Express', each window plays on the Victorian and train themes to glamorous effect.

2012 Christmas Windows: Selfridges
Selfridges weren't kidding when they said these were 'Not You're Usual Christmas Windows'. Each recreates scenes from the 2012 Christmas campaign by Bruce Weber, from a huge sleepover to an array of hampers and a giant gingerbread house. Our favourite is the Anya Hindmarch 'All I've Ever Wanted' moving workshop, showcasing her beautiful accessories in a magical factory like setting.
