Leather may be the material of the season for AW18, but (for once) there isn’t any biker jackets or festival fringing in sight. 

This winter we’re all about grown-up leather, worn in autumnal shades and tailored pieces. Look to navy dresses at Kenzo and Stella McCartney, burgundy trousers and tops at Preen by Thornton Breggazi and brown dresses at Rochas and Tod’s. Coats and jackets were also seen on the runway in leather at Loewe, Christopher Kane and Rejina Pyo. 

But if you fancy being a bit bold and opting for more colourful leather pieces then make sure to keep the colours tonal, and the other items in proportion, too.

Enter: Maje’s oversized leather shirt.

This should be worn with slim fit trousers and the Finery A-line skirt (below) with knee-high boots. To keep things really chic then pick Warehouse’s brown trench, paired with Nanushka’s white leather trousers with a grey roll neck.
