Sky’s new series, The Day Of The Jackal, sees one assassin attempting to evade the authorities in a cat-and-mouse chase across the globe. The 10-part adaptation is based on the novel by Frederick Forsyth and subsequent 1973 film from Universal Pictures. So, here’s everything we know so far about The Day Of The Jackal.

What is the plot of The Day Of The Jackal?

“An unrivalled and highly elusive lone assassin, the Jackal, makes his living carrying out hits for the highest fee. Who stars in The Day Of The Jackal?

Eddie Redmayne plays The Jackal with Lashana Lynch taking on the British intelligence officer who attempts to chase him down. The series also stars Úrsula Corberó (Money Heist) as Nuria, someone at the heart of The Jackal’s personal life, unaware of who he truly is.

The rest of cast includes Charles Dance (Game Of Thrones) in the role of Timothy Winthrop, Richard Dormer (Blue Lights) as Norman, Chukwudi Iwuji (The Split) as Osita Halcrow, Lia Williams (The Capture) as Isabel Kirby, Khalid Abdalla (The Crown) as Ulle Dag Charles, Eleanor Matsuura (The Walking Dead) as Zina Jansone, Jonjo O’Neill (Bad Sisters) as Edward Carver, Nick Blood (Slow Horses) as Vince, Sule Rimi (Andor) as Paul Pullman and Florisa Kamara as Jasmin Pullman.
