If you loved Leo Woodall in One Day, here’s everything to know so far about his latest Apple TV+ series, Prime Target, including a newly-released trailer.
We might’ve only just recovered from seeing him play Dexter in Netflix’s One Day last year, but Leo Woodall will soon be returning to our screens, swapping the love and joy of the romance genre for the darker and suspenseful world of conspiracies and thrillers. Oh, and some maths.
In Prime Target, a new Apple TV+ eight-episode series, we join Woodall as he begins to use his genius mathematical skills to uncover a conspiracy he seems to be involved in. And so, here’s everything to know so far about Prime Target, including a newly-released trailer.
What is the plot of Prime Target?
Woodall plays young maths postgraduate Edward Brooks, who’s on the verge of a major breakthrough in his work: if he succeeds in finding a prime number pattern, he’ll hold the key to every computer in the world.
But before his idea even comes to fruition, something is trying to destroy his work and throwing him into a completely different world, where he meets NSA agent Taylah Sanders. She’s been tasked with watching and reporting on the mathematician’s behaviour, but together they start to untangle the conspiracy Edward is at the heart of.
Who stars in Prime Target?
As well as Leo Woodall, Quintessa Swindell is set to star alongside him as Taylah Sanders. The rest of cast includes Stephen Rea (The Crying Game), David Morrissey (Sherwood), Martha Plimpton (The Regime), Sidse Babbett Knudsen (Borgen), Jason Flemyng (The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button), Harry Lloyd (Game Of Thrones), Ali Suliman, Fra Fee and Joseph Mydell.

When will Prime Target be released?
The eight-episode series will premiere globally on Apple TV+ on 22 January 2025 with the first two episodes, followed by one episode weekly, every Wednesday through to 5 March 2025. A new year treat, if you will. In the meantime, you can watch the trailer below.
