How far would you go to pursue your dreams? Well, in Apple TV+’s new thriller, we find out the price some women are willing to pay. Starring Natalie Portman, Moses Ingram (The Queen’s Gambit) and Y’lan Noel (Insecure), Lady In The Lake is a tense and unexpected noir thriller that explores two women’s seemingly parallel lives and how these converge, putting everyone around them at risk.

Based on Laura Lippman’s novel of the same name, here’s everything to know about the upcoming thriller series.

What is the plot of Lady In The Lake?

“When the disappearance of a young girl grips the city of Baltimore on Thanksgiving 1966, the lives of two women converge on a fatal collision course. Maddie Schwartz is a Jewish housewife seeking to shed a secret past and reinvent herself as an investigative journalist, and Cleo Sherwood is a mother navigating the political underbelly of Black Baltimore while struggling to provide for her family.

Their disparate lives seem parallel at first, but when Maddie becomes fixated on Cleo’s mystifying death, a chasm opens that puts everyone around them in danger,” reads the synopsis.

Who will star in Lady In The Lake?

Starring alongside Portman, Ingram and Noel are Brett Gelman (Stranger Things), Byron Bowers (Kimi), Noah Jupe (A Quiet Place), Josiah Cross (King Richard), Mikey Madison (Scream) and Pruitt Taylor Vince (Constantine).

When will Lady In The Lake be released?

The seven-part limited series will premiere on Apple TV+ with the first two episodes dropping on 19 July, followed by new episodes every Friday through to 23 August.
