Industry: the first trailer for season 3 of the hit HBO series just dropped

Banking, sex and drugs all collide in Industry, and HBO has now confirmed it’s been renewed for a third season.
Few shows manage to be both edge-of-your-seat gripping and simultaneously completely impossible to understand. And yet, HBO’s Industry does just that. The high-octane drama gives viewers a peek inside London’s elite world of high-level trading, where millions of pounds can be made or lost at the click of a button, where fierce allies and sworn enemies work side by side and 12-hour working days are followed by all-night raves. It is intense.
Industry returned to our screens for season two in September 2022, and we very much enjoyed the charged-up feel of it all, especially since the graduates no longer had their rookie status to hide behind. Mix in a heavy dose of sex, drugs and scandal and it’s easy to see why we can’t wait for the third season to drop.

Well, we bring you good news – not only has a release date been announced (August 11 on HBO and later this autumn on the BBC), but we’ve also got first-look images and a brand-new trailer.
Who is in Industry season 3?
Old favourites like Myha’la Herrold, Marisa Abela, Harry Lawtey, David Jonsson, Ken Leung, Conor MacNeill, Alex Alomar Akpobome, Indy Lewis, Katrine de Candole, Jay Duplass, Sonny Poon Tip and Adam Levy are all set to return, but Pierpoint & Co will be welcoming some new faces, too.
Kit Harrington (Game Of Thrones) is set to step foot onto the trading floor next season as Henry Muck, the CEO and founder of Lumi, an exciting green tech energy company that’s about to go public.
It sounds like Harrington’s role will be a crucial one, too. In season three, as Pierpoint & Co look to the future and takes a big bet on ethical investing, the desk find themselves front and centre for Lumi’s IPO, in a story that runs all the way to the very top of finance, media and government.

What has been said about Industry season 3?
Speaking about the series’ renewal, Kathleen McCaffrey, senior VP of HBO programming, said: “Industry reached new heights in season two, cementing its status as a buzzy hit with addictive storytelling, layered characters, a breakneck pace and keen observations about contemporary workplace dynamics.
“We’re incredibly proud of what Mickey and Konrad, Jami O’Brien, Jane Tranter and the team at Bad Wolf, together with our entire cast and crew, accomplished. We couldn’t be more excited to continue our journey with them into season three.”
Industry is co-produced with the BBC, so while it airs on HBO over in the US, the series will be returning to our terrestrial airways when it’s released.

This future plan has been plotted for some time now, according to the series co-creator Konrad Kay. Speaking to RadioTimes, he admitted that he and co-writer Mickey Down are “pretty far along” in plotting the show’s future.
“I mean, the truth is, we’re always far along because regardless of whether we get to do it again, me and Mickey have been living with these characters for six years.”
Are there any stills from Industry season 3 yet?

Is there a trailer for Industry season 3?
Why yes, there is. HBO dropped the first trailer for season three on 1 July and it looks just as frenetic and intense as ever.
In the trailer, we get a glimpse of Harper as she begins a new career after leaving Pierpoint behind. We also get to see Kit Harrington stepping into his role as Henry Muck, a green tech CEO who is looking to take his company public. Oh, and, of course, there’s a lot of wild partying, incomprehensible money charts and men screaming things like “I am a man and I am relentless!” Let’s go.
When will Industry season 3 be out?
Season three will air on August 11 in the US. A UK date for its release on the BBC is yet to be announced.
