In the third adaptation of Harlan Coben’s books this year (following on from Missing You and Just One Look), Caught is the new Netflix series that just dropped on the streaming platform. Based on the book of the same name, it’s the first Latin American adaptation of Coben’s work and is packed with the same gripping drama, tension and suspense that we’ve come to love about his stories. Expect a lot of dark secrets, mysterious motives and people suddenly going missing.

What is the plot of Caught?

Ema Garay, a journalist known for capturing criminals who’ve escaped justice, is working on her next big story: a sexual abuser who targets teenage girls through an online game. After she very nearly catches him in the act, Ema’s primary suspect becomes a trusted person in the community, in the form of a man named Leo Mercer.

When Ema’s team begins to trace Leo’s whereabouts, they’re confronted with a new investigation after a 16-year-old violin player, who was in contact with a mysterious older man, also goes missing.

Who stars in Caught?

The new series stars Soledad Villamil (Goyo) as Ema Garay and Alberto Ammann (Narcos) as Leo Mercer. They’re joined by Juan Minujín (The Two Popes), Matías Recalt (Society Of The Snow), Carmela Rivero, Maite Aguilar, Victoria Almeida, Patricio Aramburu, Tania Casciani, Germán de Silva, Alián Devetac, Bárbara Massó, Fernán Mirás, Mike Amigorena and Pablo Cura.

The series takes place in San Carlos de Bariloche, a city in Argentina’s Patagonia region.
