Make sure your name’s on the list for this excellent-sounding new drama with an all-star cast.

While we wait (im)patiently for season three of The Bear (and continue mourning the end of Succession), I’m here with some good news. There’s a new high-stakes family drama coming to Netflix that sounds like a combination of both of these excellent TV series.

Black Rabbit (see, it’s even got an animal in the name too) is in production now, and this is everything we know about it so far.

What is the plot of Black Rabbit

Set in the exclusive world of New York nightlife, the series centres on a pair of brothers. According to the official synopsis: “When the owner of a New York City hotspot (Jude Law) allows his chaotic brother (Jason Bateman) back in his life, he opens the door to escalating dangers that threaten to bring down everything he’s built.”

It’s got warring siblings, big nights out, chaos and danger. It sounds perfect.

Who will star in Black Rabbit

In short: everybody!

The two brothers are played by Jude Law (The Talented Mr. Ripley) and Ozark actor Jason Bateman, who will also direct the first two episodes.

Law and Bateman will be joined by Academy award-winning actor Troy Kotsur (CODA) who will play a local bookie with ties to organised crime. Abbey Lee (Lovecraft Country) is a powerhouse bartender; Odessa Young (The Staircase) will play a local tattoo artist; Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù (Slow Horses) plays Wes, a prominent musician and entrepreneur; Dagmara Dominczyk (Succession) plays Val, an affluent New York philanthropist and Jake’s ex-wife; and Amaka Okafor (Bodies) will play an ambitious chef.

Watch out Carmy…

When will Black Rabbit air?

The series is currently filming in New York, so here’s hoping we won’t have to wait too long for the show to find its way to Netflix.
