As soon as the leaves begin to brown and the temperature drops, our thoughts quickly turn to autumnal indoor habits. One thing we’re excited about is that TV season really starts to kick in, especially with an abundance of dramas and thrillers soon coming our way. One psychological thriller that sounds particularly eerie (and a little terrifying) is Apple TV’s latest series, Before. This week, it released first-look images of the atmospheric and character-driven thriller, and we can’t wait to watch.

Here’s everything we know so far about Before, including when we can expect the series to land on our screens.

What is the plot of Before?

The series stars Billy Crystal as Eli, a “child psychiatrist who, after recently losing his wife, Lynn, encounters a troubled young boy, Noah, who seems to have a haunting connection to Eli’s past. As Eli attempts to help Noah, their mysterious bond deepens,” reads the official synopsis. 

Who stars in Before?

The 10-episode series is executive produced by Crystal, Oscar award-winner Eric Roth and creator Sarah Thorp.

Alongside Crystal, the supernatural mystery series stars multi-Emmy and Tony award-winner Judith Light (Transparent), Jacobi Jupe (Peter Pan & Wendy), Oscar award-nominee Rosie Perez (The Flight Attendant), Tony award-nominee Maria Dizzia (Orange Is The New Black) and Ava Lalezarzadeh (In The Garden Of Tulips).

When will Before be released?

The series will premiere globally on 25 October with the first two episodes, followed by new episodes every Friday through to 20 December.
