Which TV moment will earn your vote?
Bafta has unveiled its shortlist of the most memorable TV moments of last year, and you can help to decide who wins.
From Elizabeth Debicki’s debut as Princess Diana in The Crown to the gripping final season of Peaky Blinders, 2022 certainly wasn’t short on gripping television, but the Bafta judges had the unenviable task of selecting just six brilliant scenes or events that got everyone talking.
The final shortlist covers a wide spectrum, from documentary to drama, with a bonus appearance from a certain marmalade-loving bear.
Two of the nominations celebrated Netflix shows, with Charlie and Nick’s first kiss in queer love story Heartstopper making the list along with the brilliant Stranger Things scene that saw Max (Sadie Sink) defeating the villainous Vecna, with a little help from Kate Bush’s iconic track Running Up That Hill.
Also appearing on the shortlist are Sir Mo Farah’s BBC documentary The Real Mo Farah, in which the Olympian revealed he was illegally trafficked to the UK, Paddington Bear sharing a marmalade sandwich with Queen Elizabeth II ahead of the Platinum Party at the Palace and the final nerve-wracking roundtable on The Traitors.
The last moment to make the cut is the finale of Derry Girls, which saw Northern Ireland vote to pass the Good Friday Agreement in 1998.
The memorable moment award is the only Bafta award that the public can vote for, so if one of these scenes is still playing on your mind months later, you can head to the Bafta website to cast your vote.
Last year, Rose Ayling-Ellis and Giovanni Pernice’s silent dance on Strictly Come Dancing won the award, which has previously gone to shows such as Gavin & Stacey and Bodyguard.

The rest of the nominations for this year’s Bafta TV awards were revealed last month, with BBC dramas This Is Going to Hurt and The Responder leading the charge with six nominations apiece.
Following close behind were Apple TV+’s dark comedy-thriller Bad Sisters and spy drama Slow Horses, which each earned five nominations, a feat also matched by the penultimate season of Netflix’s The Crown and BBC’s Western The English, starring Emily Blunt.
The winners will be announced at a ceremony at the Royal Festival Hall on 14 May, hosted by Romesh Ranganathan and Rob Beckett.
