The BBC Three documentary will explore the international network led by the Tate brothers.
You’ve likely heard of Andrew Tate, whether from old videos of him chatting nonsense about women or mentions of his greatness by young men taken in by his charm, but you might not know the true depths of his harm. A new documentary is on the way to help you get clued up, exploring not only his continued influence online but the inner workings of his circle.
Andrew Tate: The Man Who Groomed The World? comes after the controversial influencer and self-proclaimed misogynist Andrew Tate was charged with rape, human trafficking and forming an organised crime group to sexually exploit women. While Tate and his brother, Tristan, deny any wrongdoing, an indictment by Romanian authorities said that the brothers, along with two Romanian women, had formed an organised criminal group in 2021 to commit human trafficking in multiple countries, including the US and UK.
The BBC Three documentary will dive into this global network, revealing how it has left potentially hundreds of victims in its wake, as well as Tate’s harmful ideologies and enduring influence.

Investigative reporter Matt Shea says: “We have now been investigating Andrew Tate and his inner circle for four years and are almost ready to reveal what we’ve uncovered. In this documentary we uncover Tate’s global network, which spans multiple continents, affects potentially hundreds of victims, and ultimately seek to discover who is really behind Andrew Tate.”
Shea and director Jamie Tahsin previously worked together on The Dangerous Rise Of Andrew Tate, a Vice special report that you can watch now via BBC iPlayer.
There’s no word yet on a release date for this new documentary, but you can expect it to be shocking watching.
Joanna Carr, BBC’s long-form commissioning news controller, says: “This is a powerful film which shines a light on the activities of Andrew Tate and those who are working closely with him. It will help us to understand how and why Andrew Tate is able to influence so many young people in the UK and across the world.”
Mike Radford, executive producer of the documentary, adds: “It’s important that as many people as possible should be made aware of the workings of [Tate] and his close associates.”
