Taylor Swift has teamed up with Prime Video again to unveil another rerecorded single, this time from Reputation.
Oh, Taylor Swift. She sure is sneaky.
Just as we were processing our collective excitement over 1989 (Taylor’s Version) and watching videos of her Eras tour performance on a loop, Swift has skipped ahead to unveil a rerecorded version of Look What You Made Me Do, the lead single from Reputation.
The track debuts in the first teaser for Wilderness, an upcoming Prime Video show that’s all about love, marriage, affairs and deceit… a perfect thematic link to Reputation, in our opinion. It will also be used in the show’s title sequence, and Prime Video has now confirmed that the five-part series, starring Jenna Coleman, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Ashley Benson and Eric Balfour will launch on 15 September.
According to a press release, the choice of Look What You Made Me Do (Taylor’s Version) reflects main character Liv’s (Jenna Coleman) transformation after her supposedly happy marriage turns into a living nightmare when she discovers her husband Will (Oliver Jackson-Cohen) is having an affair.
Prime Video is really going all in on the Taylor Swift connection, as even the show’s poster now has a strapline reading: “Look what he made her do.”
The timing of the release will be very interesting to any diehard Swifties. The rerecorded track’s debut comes in the midst of promotion for 1989 (Taylor’s Version), and after multiple of Swift’s songs popped up in The Summer I Turned Pretty; which is also produced by Prime Video.
But what’s more intriguing is that Reputation, the album on which Look What You Made Me Do appears, is also Swift’s final album released under Big Machine Records, the label that went on to sell Swift’s masters to Scooter Braun, who is currently in the news as multiple of his star clients appear to no longer be managed by him. We could view this all as a coincidence, but fans will know that when it comes to Taylor Swift, everything has a deeper meaning.

Anyway, away from that gossip, let’s dive into the world of Wilderness, so we can look forward to watching it in September. It’s based on BE Jones’s novel of the same name and focuses on British couple Liv and Will (Jackson-Cohen) who, on the face of it, seem to have it all: a rock-solid marriage, a glamorous new life in New York thousands of miles from their provincial hometown and still young enough to feel like their whole lives are ahead of them.
But all that changes when Liv learns about Will’s affair. Her heartbreak is swiftly followed by another emotion: fury. Revenge is her only option, and when Will proposes a trip around America’s epic National Parks to give their relationship a fresh start, Liv knows just how to get it.

While there, the couple bump into Will’s colleague Cara (Ashley Benson), a young American woman with a glittering career and an adoring boyfriend, Garth (Eric Balfour). Liv’s best-laid plans are wrecked and, as the foursome go hiking together, Cara and Garth soon find themselves enmeshed in Will and Liv’s lives in a way that will change the course of all their future’s forever. Sounds dramatic, right?
Wilderness will launch globally on Prime Video on 15 September
