Sexy, incisive and darkly funny: Sirens is Netflix’s newest series starring Julianne Moore and Meghann Fahy that has us all kinds of excited.
Into slick, stylised series about rich people behaving badly? Obsessed with shows like Big Little Lies, The White Lotus, and The Perfect Couple? Then you’re going to love Sirens, Netflix’s upcoming limited series starring Julianne Moore, Meghann Fahy, and Milly Alcock in an impressive female-led cast.
Told over the course of one explosive Labor Day weekend at the Kell family’s beach estate (they’re billionaires, naturally), prepare for plenty of beautiful people and scenery and some pretty ugly behaviour.
The first offering from the collaboration of Netflix and Emmy-nominated writer Molly Smith Metzler (Maid), Sirens promises an “incisive, sexy, and darkly funny exploration of women, power, and class”. And did we mention that the incredible Margot Robbie is co-executive producer for Lucky Chap?

What is the plot of Sirens?
The series is based on Metzler’s play Elemeno Pea, which she wrote at the Juilliard School.
According to Netflix, “the dark comedy will follow Devon (Meghann Fahy), who’s concerned about her sister Simone’s creepy relationship with her new employer, the mysterious socialite and animal activist Michaela Kell (Julianne Moore). Michaela’s cultish, luxurious lifestyle is like a drug to Simone (Milly Alcock), and Devon thinks it’s time for an intervention. When Devon tracks her sister down to find out WTF is going on, she underestimates what you’re in for when you have Michaela as an enemy.”
Devon journies to the lavish island where mansions and hydrangeas abound — but soon realises that the surrounding waters are murkier than they first appear.

All-star, female-centred casts don’t get much better than this. Meghann Fahy (The White Lotus, The Perfect Couple) stars alongside Academy award-winning Julianne Moore (May December, Still Alice) and House Of The Dragon star Milly Alcock, while Kevin Bacon (Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F) and Glenn Howerton (It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia) support.
