Four years after her world-shattering, soul-shaking, heartbreaking, award-winning series I May Destroy You, Michaela Coel is finally ready to let us back into her brain.

The BBC has announced her brand new drama, First Day On Earth, which she will write, star in and executive produce (get you a woman who can do it all).

The series is being made with indie cinema darlings A24 (who also created Everything Everywhere All At Once, Lady Bird and Euphoria) and will centre on the relationship between England and Ghana through the lens of a second-generation British Ghanaian woman.
