What is the plot of Society Of The Snow?

In the 1970s, a rugby team from Uruguay boarded a small plane to Chile for an exciting match, with many players bringing along friends or family members. However, as the plane made its way over the Andes, it started to unexpectedly descend. The plane struck a mountain and broke into pieces, but some of the 45 passengers on board survived – facing perilous conditions.

This dramatisation of the crash and its aftermath is not for the faint of heart: the story involves “graphic depictions of the accident and what the victims had to do to keep from starving to death, including cannibalism”, according to the Netflix synopsis.
