Teaming up with Faber, Mattel and Warner Bros. Pictures are publishing the original Barbie screenplay written by Greta Gerwig – which also features eight pages of photos from the film.
The summer days of Barbie fever feel like a long time ago, especially as we ring in the freezing temperatures of December and count down the days until Christmas. But Mattel and Warner Bros. Pictures have teamed up with publisher Faber to give us just a little bit more Barbie.
Announcing the partnership today, Faber is set to release the film’s original screenplay written by Greta Gerwig and Noah Baumbach, which is available to pre-order from today. This is the first time the screenplay will be in print and also features an exclusive introduction by Gerwig and Baumbach.
And if words aren’t quite enough, the screenplay will also include eight pages of photos from Barbie to take you back to the days of being Kenough.

The film is packed with famous faces, witty one-liners and scene-stealing moments from Ryan Gosling’s Ken and America Ferrera’s famous speech at the end. And the good news? You can now rent or buy Barbie on Amazon Prime so you’re not missing out on one of 2023’s biggest films.
The Barbie screenplay is available to pre-order now and will publish on 14 December.
