**What is Dune: Prophecy about?**

The Bene Gesserit play a vital role in the Dune franchise. It is their prophecy that predicts the rise of the “Kwisatz Haderach,” a male leader with Bene Gesserit powers who will rule the universe. That fabled ruler, of course, turns out to be Paul Atreides. But how did this prophecy come about? Well, this series promises to explain it all.

According to the series description, it “follows two Harkonnen sisters as they combat forces that threaten the future of humankind, and establish the fabled sect that will become known as the Bene Gesserit.”

The series is based on the 2012 novel Sisterhood Of Dune written by Brian Herbert (the son of Dune author Frank Herbert) and Kevin J Anderson.
