What kind of a party guest are you?

I actually like hosting more: I don’t do it a lot, but I’m a good host if I may say so myself. It’s usually a blur because I’m running around and making sure everyone is having a good time. But if we’re going to someone else’s, I like to think I make for good conversation. My wife [Gossip Girl actor Leighton Meester] and I have a dynamic: I will be the one that gets us there on time, but she will be the last to leave, long after I’ve started to get antsy to head home. So between us, we’re committed. We’re not just stopping by for an hour: if you have us, you have us.

It’s your turn to cook dinner: what is your go-to dish?

I’m actually the breakfast guy in our house. I’ll do an omelette or a matzah brei where I break up some matzah crackers into scrambled eggs or whip up French toast with challah bread. I do have a great sour cream and onion breaded chicken dinner recipe that I got from the New York Times that I’ve been doing for a couple years, though.

What would you pick for your last meal on earth?

Something completely indulgent: maybe waffles, or a doughnut with sprinkles. Or a cake. Anything with lots of sugar. If I had to pick savoury, I love Mexican food, so a chimichanga, which is a deep-fried burrito. That’s a good bite of food.
