Over the last few years, a trend has developed on the shelves of your local bookshop.
Aside from the non-stop "confessions" and "secrets" of call-girls and shopaholics, there has been an influx of books with titles describing their female protagonist as being the wife or the daughter of anyone from a shoemaker to an ambassador. It's a curious trend, as referring to a women as the daughter or the wife of someone else puts the emphasis on their husband or father, rather than the woman the title suggests the book is about. But, feminist annoyances aside, books about daughters and wives have become a literary trend, with some these even becoming international bestsellers.
