From eye makeup masterclasses to panel discussions on finding skin confidence, this four day virtual event is a must-attend for beauty fans…
How often do you get to ‘book in’ with a world-class facialist or sit in on a show-and-tell of makeup tricks from the artists behind some of your favourite brands?
Not every day, we’re guessing.
But for four days from Thursday 30 July to Sunday 2 August that’s exactly what you can do at John Lewis & Partners Virtual Beauty Weekend.
Whether you’re looking for super effective skincare masterclasses or just want to join in the conversation around confidence by tuning in to a talk, there’s something from every part of the beauty industry.
With 17 exclusive events including some from the likes of Charlotte Tilbury, NARS, Estée Lauder, Sunday Riley and Laura Mercier, all your needs are covered on Zoom - meaning you don’t have to leave your sofa if you don’t want to.
The icing on the cake? With every £20 ticket you get £15 to spend on the brand hosting the event. All you need to do is register as a My John Lewis member (fast and free) to get access to the event plus loads of other beauty benefits.
Here’s what’s happening when…
THURSDAY
Kicking off from 4pm, the first panel of the evening is hosted by stylist and TV presenter Antonia O’Brien who will be discussing how to practice self-care and the effects of stress on our skin.
Later on Estée Lauder host a talk with columnist and Beauty Banks founder Sali Hughes who shares her favourite beauty products and tips she’s picked up throughout her career.
FRIDAY
With a full roster of talks and masterclasses all day, start early with an insight into how celebs get picture-perfect skin with Sarah Chapman (one of the most sought after facialists in the business).
Then join celebrity makeup artist Naoko Scintu, who has graced the faces of Charlize Theron and Florence Pugh, for a masterclass in how to get glowing foundation with Armani.
Later on, beauty journalist Alessandra Steinherr shares her personal skincare routine, MAC shows you how to find the best eye makeup for your eye shape and colour and Laura Mercier show you how to get that effortless French beauty look with Nikki Makeup.
SATURDAY
Saturday’s morning line-up is all about feeling yourself. The day starts with a panel discussion on body confidence with Callie Thorpe and Stylist’s Billie Bhatia, followed by a masterclass on feel good beauty with Hannah Martin and a lesson in skincare confidence with This Morning presenter Sarah Jossel.
In the afternoon, catch an interactive class with Dermalogica and Emma Thatcher and her teenage daughter on handling hormonal skin no matter your age. Finish the day off with Charlotte Tilbury pro artist Kelechi Onuoha who show you how to get the ultimate glow with the new Queen of Glow Luxury Palette.
SUNDAY
Sunday self-care gets taken up a notch with a discussion on skincare and serums with Lancome and Nadine Baggott followed by how to make your eyes iconic with NARS and Sam Chapman.
Bobbi Brown then hosts an everyday makeup masterclass with Bryony Blake while Laila Loves teaches you how to get that enviable sunkissed look with Benefit Cosmetics.
Finally, the founder and chief formulator of Sunday Riley, Sunday Riley herself, hosts a masterclass in active ingredients, helping create a bespoke skincare regime for six audience members. You can apply to be one of the six once you’ve booked your ticket.
