It's yet to be released and already the new video for Madonna’s debut perfume Truth or Dare is causing a stir.

Certainly no stranger to controversy, Madonna’s new fragrance ad is yet to officially air – it will debut in the UK on April 3 – however the commercial has already reportedly been deemed too sexy for the Disney-owned US TV network ABC.

Shot in black and white by renowned fashion photographers Mert & Marcus, the Truth or Dare video (which you can watch below) shows Madge in a black corset and fishnets in one scene then a sultry, black silk underwear set in another, interspersed with shots of the edgy Truth or Dare perfume bottle. The soundtrack – a remix of Madonna’s Girl Gone Wild track – also features the queen of pop singing, with the lyrics: “I know good girls don’t misbehave… but I’m a bad girl”. As if we didn’t know that already!

According to the Belfast Telegraph, the ABC network is said to have ordered producers to digitally alter shots that reveal Madonna’s cleavage: making the bra bigger digitally to cover her chest and the corset longer to cover more of her bottom.

Despite its suggestive content, the scent – envisaged to be re-invention of classic white flower fragrances featuring notes of vanilla and caramelised amber - is said to have been inspired by Madonna’s mother, who died of breast cancer in 1963: "My oldest memory of my mother is her perfume. I carry it with me everywhere. She always smelled like gardenias and tuberose. An intoxicating mixture - feminine and mysterious," said Madonna in a release.

Continuing the familial theme, on-set rumours confirm that Madge’s daughter Lourdes stopped by the Truth or Dare shoot after her ballet lesson to see the singer. She already seems to be following in her mother footsteps in so many ways, perhaps we can expect Lourdes’ own fragrance soon?
