After a successful clothing line and beauty collaborations with Estee Lauder, Victoria Beckham is launching her own cosmetics range. Here’s everything you need to know about Victoria Beckham Beauty…
She’s conquered the music industry and fashion world, but now, Victoria Beckham has announced that she is launching her own beauty range, aptly named Victoria Beckham Beauty.
The fashion designer posted a video on Instagram, in which she says, “So I’m very excited to announce that I’m about to launch Victoria Beckham Beauty”. She then pans the camera to show ’#VBBeauty’ scrawled on to a mirror in lipstick.
In a formal announcement, the collection is described as “a unique synergy between the worlds of beauty and fashion” and is aimed at empowering women to feel more confident in their day-to-day lives.
Speaking about the upcoming launch in a statement, Beckham said, “I want to take care of women inside and out, providing them with the must-have items in makeup, skincare, fragrance and wellness that I feel I need in my own life.”
And it seems Beckham will also be asking customers what they want to see in the line-up. She added, “Just like I spend so much time in the fitting room getting to know what my customers want to wear, I’m going to be asking women to tell me which products they want me to develop for them in the beauty and wellness arenas. It’s important for me to know what they want.”
Beckham first teased that she would be launching her own beauty range in March 2018 during a Facebook Live. In the social media video, which was created in honour of International Women’s Day, Beckham revealed, “I’m actually developing my own colour, skincare and fragrance as we speak. It’s going to be very scientific. I’m working with the best.”
The upcoming collection won’t be Beckham’s first foray into beauty. She developed her Victoria Beckham x Estee Lauder capsule collection in 2016, which was hugely successful and even led to a second launch. While creating her range with Estee Lauder, Beckham worked with Sarah Creal, who has been named as co-founder and CEO of Victoria Beckham Beauty. Working from a base in New York, Creal will be bringing in her 25 years of experience in the beauty industry, which spans across brands like Bobbi Brown Cosmetics and Prada.
While additional details on the range are scarce, we won’t have to wait too much longer, as the range is set to be released in Autumn/Winter 2019 on victoriabeckham.com.
