Want an evening look with impact? With a little help from illustrator Hattie Stewart, Illamasqua’s make-up director Clare Lille adds a twist to our three favourite night-time classics

Above: Poison berry lips
Anchor the face with bold maroon lips by filling with lip liner then applying a matching shade of matte lipstick on top for colour that will stay put all night.

This season the smoky eye is reimagined in metallic tones of warm copper and vintage brass, brushed freely on to the eye. Apply a dab of lip balm over the entire eyelid first to break up the powder pigment on top, creating a soft crackled effect.
Above: Double winged liner
Add interest to a classic slick of jet black liner on the upper lashline by running a parallel stripe along the bottom lashes. Stretch the line beyond the inner corner and out towards the brow bone leaving the waterline bare for a Sixties doe-eyed effect.
