This Mac Basic Bitch makeup palette is everything we need in life

Calling all basic bitches: Mac is releasing a kickass new makeup palette, and it’s got your name written all over it.

Spotted backstage at Milan Fashion Week and introduced on Instagram by one of Mac’s senior makeup artists, Netta Szekely, the palette is already creating quite a buzz on social media.

Holding nine new shades and textures, including a shimmering silver brilliantly called “Tattle-Tale” and a deep burgundy called “Hell in Heels”, the palette looks to contain eye shadows and a larger highlighter.

Supermodel Kate Moss was the first to coin the (excellent) term basic bitch in June 2015, when she was escorted off an EasyJet flight for being “disruptive”. She called the pilot a basic bitch as she was led off the plane, and the term has since become an everyday expression.

The autumn hue of the palette has led the rumour mill to suggest it might not launch until later this year, but Stylist.co.uk has reached out to Mac for confirmation on a release date – and we'll let you know more as soon as we hear about it.

In the meantime, take a look inside the rectangular palette of basic joy below...
