While Barbie may be beautiful, thin and have Ken as her boyfriend, if she was real, she'd be anatomically impossible, reduced to walking on all fours and incapable of lifting anything. Tough break, Babs.
But thankfully, an artist has created a more natural look for the iconic doll, so, you know, she could actually function if she were alive.
Using the measurements from those of an average 19 year-old, this is what Barbara Millicent Roberts would look like, if she had the body of a real woman.
It might also interest you to know that if you had the measurements of Barbie, you would be over 7' tall and have a neck that wouldn't support your head. Oh, and you'd be so drastically underweight, you wouldn't be able to menstruate.
Designer (and Barbie sympathiser), Nikolay Lamm has also taken snaps of his 'real' Barbie doll and the original version, which you can compare below.
