Revealed: the most beautiful male and female faces, according to British people

The male and female faces that British people consider to be the most beautiful in the world have been created using e-fit software.
The software, normally used by the police to draw up the faces of wanted criminals, was used to generate a series of faces that were rated for attractiveness by 100 Brits.
Using these results, researchers created two faces that are considered to be the epitome of beauty, below.
The study, run by Dr Chris Solomon, a world expert in facial mapping from the University of Kent, found that female faces with a resemblance to Angelina Jolie, Scarlett Johansson, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Natalie Portman were considered to be the most striking.
In comparison, male faces that looked similar to celebrities such as Brad Pitt, David Beckham, Ryan Gosling and David Gandy were rated as the most striking.
The study also brought to light a number of findings about how men and women interpret beauty differently.
Women were typically attracted to male faces that were more feminine, with softer jaw-lines and medium-sized lips. However, in comparison, men considered the more rugged and masculine male faces to be the most attractive.
The findings also revealed that women, more so than men, thought other women with “sexier” facial attributes - such as full lips and almond shaped eyes - were the most attractive.
Dr Solomon said, “Women perceived fuller lips, a slimmer face, larger eyes and higher cheekbones as the most beautiful, more so than the male population.”
