If there was ever a TV character to be crowned the girl crush of our teenage years, it’s got to be Jennifer Aniston as Rachel Green in Friends.

The Nineties has served us well for both TV gold and beauty trends. And in her iconic role on the 10-year series, there were few that had us lusting over her style more than Ms Green, from her famous hairstyles and enviable fashion archive to her on-trend make-up.

And it’s not just us. In fact, it seems that a particularly firm favourite with Friends viewers is Rachel’s classic brown lip colour, with watchers of the show taking to Twitter to share their frustration over trying to hunt down the perfect product.

One frustrated soul wrote: “All I care about is finding Rachel Green's lipstick shade UGH”.

Another Friends devotee expressed their desire thus: “One of my goals in life is to have a lipstick that will give me Rachel Green's browny-nude lips”

But despite our searching and wishing, we’ve never managed to recreate the exact lip shade of our favourite Friends character.

That is, until now.

In a recent interview with Glamour magazine, while discussing all things Nineties, Aniston revealed the earth-shattering news that her go-to lipstick while playing Rachel was a colour that is not only alive and well, but sitting, very accessibly, in a MAC shop near you.

Enter MAC’s Paramount:

Aniston said: “They’re always sort of regurgitating trends. How about MAC’s Paramount lipstick? It was a browny brick [shade]. I remember that was my go-to colour when I was doing Friends.”

A total classic of the era, the lipstick is part of the Satin range and boats a “creamy formula with a soft cushiony feel, medium-to-full buildable coverage and a satin finish”.

MAC describes the colour as a “reddish-brown” and it’s priced at £16.50.

And MAC fans have long been wise to the delights of Paramount, with many taking to social media to share their love of the product.

One user describes the colour as like “autumn leaves”, while another says the lipstick leaves them feeling “oh so satisfied”.
