Iconic perfume brand Jo Malone has long celebrated the best of British, but its latest collaboration might be the most patriotic yet. Stylist can exclusively reveal that next month, the brand will team up with legendary designer, artist and punk icon Judy Blame who will give selected Jo Malone stores a rock’n’roll makeover, inspired by London’s Pearly Kings and Queens.
A subculture legend who rose to fame in London’s clubbing heyday, Blame has styled outfits for Boy George, Björk and Neneh Cherry with his trademark button, safety pin and stud jewellery. Throughout the Eighties and Nineties, he also worked for cult magazines i-D and The Face, sealing his status as an underground creative authority.
Complete with button-studded Union Jack and a pearly crown on the walls, Blame’s takeover of Jo Malone truly has his signature. You can also take a bit of the legend home, with limited edition packaging with every in-store purchase of a full-size cologne. Cool Britannia indeed.
