If you didn’t carry your Polly Pocket around in your school backpack as a child, were you even a Nineties kid?

From that Friends pencil case to the Spice Girls sticker album, Polly Pockets were also a glorious childhood staple for many.

The endless hours playing with the miniature doll and her various compact scenarios was, for some of us, probably the most idyllic moments of our younger years.

And remember the sing-a-long TV advert that would appear as Christmas was fast approaching? (Oh, how our parents must have hated it.)

Which is why these new make up palettes, that look like Polly Pocket reincarnated, have got us feeling all sentimental.

Lime Crime, an American make-up brand, are releasing the new eyeshadow palettes in an array of bright colours and statement-making shades.

Taking to Instagram this week (11 September), they shared a throwback snap of Polly Pockets as a little teaser, receiving tens of thousands of likes for that alone – but have since deleted the post. 

And then today (13 September) the brand confirmed the Pocket Candy palette will come in three different colours: yellow (Pink Lemonade), purple (Sugar Plum) and turquoise (Bubble Gum).

Instagram account Trend Mood confirmed more details, saying each palette would be priced at $34 (£25), and each one has five shades, both bright and neutral so you've got options.

A release date of 19 September has been set for the US, according to Popsugar. No word of a UK release date as of yet, but we’ve contacted ASOS and Cult Beauty – who both stock the brand – for more details and will keep you updated. However, the US website does offer international delivery for $10.95 (£8).
