Celebrity make-up artist Patrick Ta, the man behind Jennifer Lopez and Constance Wu’s make-up, has revealed he’s launching a beauty line. Here’s everything we know about the range that’s been two years in the making…

Patrick Ta’s client list reads like a who’s who of Hollywood.

Take a quick scroll through Instagram and you’ll see that he has worked with everyone from Ariana Grande and Constance Wu to Jennifer Lopez and Shay Mitchell. And each picture is bombarded with questions from fans about the products and techniques he uses.

Last night (13 February), the Los Angeles-based make-up artist, who did Grande’s make-up for both the Sweetener and No Tears Left to Cry album covers, caused a ripple of excitement through the beauty industry after announcing that he is launching his own make-up line.

Posting a series of videos on his Instagram Stories, Ta announced the news ahead of his 28th birthday party.

“I have something super special and exciting that I wanted to share with you guys. It’s something that I’ve been working on for the last two years now. So, it’s been so hard to keep everything such a secret because I’m obsessed with it - and I can’t keep a secret,” he says directly to the camera.

“But I am launching my first beauty line and I am so excited about it because I’ve worked so hard on the formulas and they’re just so beautiful.”

Ta, who is also a Global Colour Artist for Shiseido and Global Make-up Artist Ambassador for La Mer, has a reputation for giving his clients the ultimate glowing complexion so we’re crossing our fingers that there will be a dewy foundation and highlighter in the mix.

However, he’s keeping his cards close to his chest, for now.

“So it hasn’t launched yet but I will be posting on my Instagram some of the products soon,” he continues, “I will be using them on my clients and I wonder if you guys can guess what I’m coming out with.”

Ta has also set up a new Instagram account, @PatrickTaBeauty, but is yet to post anything.
