Gourmand scents and vanilla notes were huge in 2024. Here, we spoke to an expert about the biggest fragrance prediction for 2025.
There’s no denying that #PerfumeTok piqued our interest in 2024, with 655,000 posts and counting. From the popular ‘skin scents’ to vanilla’s big comeback, the year was defined by some big moments in the perfume world. But a new year means new fragrance trends.
We’ll have to wait and see whether gourmand scents will reign supreme in 2025 like they did last year. However, to help you get ahead of this year’s trends, we spoke to perfume critic Persolaise to get his take on the notes he expects to rise to fame this year.
When it came to predictions of what notes we’ll be drawn to in 2025, he says: “My feeling is that we’re going to see intriguing combos of delicate florals with hard-hitting woods – mixes of the gentle and the authoritative.”
If woody floral scents are going to be making waves in the fragrance world, we’ve helped you stay ahead of the trend and rounded up the best woody floral perfumes to add to your scent collection right now.
