We’ve heard of skin streaming – aka the fine art of streamlining your skincare routine – but now get ready for make-up streaming.
Skin streaming makes a lot of sense, especially given the risk we all run of overloading our skin with products that do more harm than good if poorly combined. It also happens to be more budget and eco-friendly, given that you’re buying less and producing less waste when you only make room for essential products.
Well, we’re here to tell you that streaming can apply to your make-up routine too.
What is make-up streaming?
Make-up streaming is what we’re calling the intentional practice of minimising and optimising what’s in your make-up bag by working multi-tasking products into your routine.
When you think about it, it’s incredibly handy for your setting spray to double up as a primer. And matching your blush to your lips is a trick as old as time, so why not buy a product specifically designed for doing both?
What are the benefits of make-up streaming?
Aside from the fact that it’s artistically a lot of fun to have those perfectly matching cheeks, lips and even eyelids, it’s also a great way to make things a little easier on your wallet.
If your products do more than one thing, then ideally you’re not buying as much as you were before. And if you’re not buying as much as you were before, your carbon footprint shrinks too.
