While the 2025 Golden Globes red carpet was full of bobs and pixie cuts, one make-up product was notably absent: lipstick. While Pamela Anderson might have led the make-up-free movement on the red carpet, it seems other celebs are taking a page – even if it’s only a tiny page – out of her book and sporting the ‘naked lip’ trend. 

While we’re usually used to seeing a cranberry red or bold berry lip during awards season, many A-listers went on a lipstick strike for the Golden Globes. Instead, they were seen with minimal lip looks, including nude lippies, opaque glosses and even non-tinted lip balms. 

We can’t blame them; nude lipstick is far less high maintenance than a scarlet red number. I mean, who wants to be running to the bathroom to blot their lipstick during the Golden Globes ceremony?
