Chanel has created its own beauty townhouse in the heart of Edinburgh, which includes a cinema, a disco room, make-up masterclasses and so much more…
Chanel has opened the doors to its very own townhouse – and it’s open to the public. Yep, the designer brand has taken over an entire house for its incredible Rouge Allure Velvet Nuit Blanche pop-up. A mouthful, yes, but also, a complete feast for the senses.
When you step through the large black doors at No 8 Charlotte Square in Edinburgh, you’ll be greeted by beauty experts who will guide you through a full-on Chanel experience. The first stop is quite possibly the chicest cinema of all time, with large, red velvet chairs, branded popcorn and a chance to enjoy the Nuit Blanche film, fronted by none other than Margot Robbie.

Then, you move into a new room where a digital clock awaits. Hit the large button and the clock will give you a time that corresponds with one of its new eight Rouge Allure Velvet Nuit Blanche lipstick shades, £42 each.
Once you’ve got your shade, you’ll be led to the backstage beauty area, where you can give your shade a whirl (along with any others that caught your eye) with the help of the brand’s beauty experts. Guests can also pre-book a make-up masterclass.

Once your make-up is done, you’ll be led into the final room: a party room, complete with disco balls, huge Chanel No.5 bottles, music and a bar of lipsticks. There’s also a photobooth to capture your make-up look and get some content for the ’Gram.
The pop-up is open until Saturday 30 March and is free to experience. While it’s definitely worth a visit, those who can’t make it can explore the new lipsticks at one of Chanel’s boutique beauty stores.

Inspired by the magic of nighttime, each of the eight shades represents the eight-hour period that takes us from getting ready for a night out through to the next morning.
In the line-up, you’ll find everything you could want for an evening lip look, from a brick orange and vibrant fuchsia to a warm brown, burnished rosewood and even a purple hue. If Margot Robbie’s a fan…
The Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet Nuit Blanche Pop-Up is based at No 8 Charlotte Square, Edinburgh, EH2 4DR until Saturday 30 March. Head to chanel.com for more information.
