As the UK summer continues to rain on our parades, we can seek seasonal joy in the time of year the beauty industry does best: Christmas. 

Liberty has already got the snowball rolling with the (very early) arrival of its 2023 beauty advent calendar. And while we’re not ready to listen to Michael Bublé just yet, this has definitely spread some much-appreciated cheer around the Stylist beauty team.

For beauty enthusiasts across the globe, few things are as exciting as strolling through the Liberty beauty hall in the heart of London. Equally, its annual beauty advent calendar never fails to create that same irresistible sense of indulgence. In true Liberty style, the box maintains its iconic building design, but this year, it really comes to life, thanks to artist Clym Evernden, who has reimagined the structure and adorned it with his signature ink-based illustrations.

Liberty’s beauty advent calendar 2023 retails at £250 and is bursting with £1,040 worth of the most coveted beauty treasures that the department store has to offer. Plus, for the first time, the calendar includes a jewellery entry from Estella Bartlett, giving this year’s offering a perfect touch of seasonal sparkle. As always, the countdown to Christmas with Liberty lasts 30 days and covers all beauty bases, with inclusions of the best of the best in skincare, haircare, make-up and fragrance.

You can expect to find must-haves (20 of which are full-sized) from the likes of Le Labo, Sunday Riley, Rose Inc and so much more. We were especially excited to see our favourite Rich Cream from Augustinus Bader included – it really is the gift that keeps on giving. It’s safe to say that we’re impressed, and it has certainly gained our seal of approval as a can’t-go-wrong gift idea (or the ultimate act of self-love).

The Liberty beauty advent calendar flies off shelves year-on-year, and we predict this one will be no exception. It is now available for pre-order for members of Liberty’s Beauty Drop until 10 September.
