The new Huda Beauty “Easy Bake Setting Powder” make-up collection has been announced – and the internet is very excited

Huda Kattan has unveiled the upcoming launch from her beauty brand. Here’s what you need to know…
It’s official: Huda Beauty is delving deeper into the foundation market. The beauty brand – which recently launched a remastered version of its Rose Gold Eyeshadow Palette – is already known for its 30-shade foundation range. As such, it has earned heaps of praise for the inclusive shades, as well as impressive full coverage formula. Now, Huda Beauty is hoping to shake up your base routine with its newest offering; Easy Bake Setting Powder.
Explaining her decision to launch a “super luxurious” setting powder, founder Huda Kattan wrote on Instagram, “We’ve always felt baking is one of the biggest game changers for anyone’s make-up routine”.
She added, “So many people are scared to try [it], which is why we wanted to make baking foolproof.”
“Baking” refers to the process of applying a heavy amount of setting powder over your foundation and concealer. You then let it “bake” for anywhere between 10 to 15 minutes before dusting the excess powder away with a fluffy brush. While it may seem excessive, the technique has been favoured in the drag community for years and does deliver a smooth finish.
As for the product itself, the Easy Bake Setting Powder will be available in eight shades. The “extremely fine” powders covers three light shades, two mid-range shades and two darker shades. There is also one pure white powder, which most likely has a translucent finish.
While, the colour range of the powders is no where near as inclusive as the brand’s liquid foundation, it’s one of the larger shade ranges we’ve seen from a setting powder. Here’s hoping more shades will be rolled out over time.
The announcement solicited huge excitement from Kattan’s fan, with her Instagram post quickly inundated with enthusiastic comments. While the brand is yet to confirm how much Easy Bake Setting Powder will cost, it will be available to buy online from 2 July.
Kattan’s upcoming beauty launch isn’t the only exciting project the entrepreneur is working on. She now has her own reality show, Huda Boss, which will give viewers a behind-the-scenes look at her beauty empire and family. The first episode aired on Facebook last week, but you can catch up here.
