It’s no surprise that the bob is still dominating red carpets, so we expected nothing less than for it to dominate the Oscars red carpet. We weren’t wrong…

If the bob is wrong, well, we don’t want to be right.

While not so long ago, a bob could all too easily draw Lord Farquaad look-alike accusations, the cut is now being rocked by the chicest of the chic, and we’re so into it.

After an awards season littered with incredible short chops, on the Oscars red carpet, it was all but inevitable that a host of the biggest and brightest Hollywood stars would be showing off bobs for the world to see.

Here’s a roundup of some of our favourites…

Sydney Sweeney

Sydney Sweeney debuted a sumptuous new Hollywood bob on last night’s red carpet. With soft blown-out layers framing her face, she looked like a golden age starlet.

And speaking of starlets, Zendaya is and continues to be the moment in every conceivable way. We remain obsessed with her thick, wavy baroque bob

Between that jaw-dropping custom Atelier Versace dress and the soft waves of her blunt bob, America truly gave us everything last night.

Carey Mulligan’s blunt, blonde bob has been effortlessly chic all awards season. And can we just take a moment for that dress?

Miss Flo’s grown-out pixie has become a fully fledged bob, and it’s giving us some serious hair envy. How can a hairdo look that good just tucked behind someone’s ear?
