Sleek, sculptural and effortless, the ‘curve bob’ is the trendy haircut that’ll have you tempted to make the chop.
Still debating whether 2025 will be the year you finally choose to chop? While longer hair is having a resurgence, there’s no denying the bob haircut remains a trend season after season.
While there’s a plethora of bob styles to pick from, including the messier ‘shaggy’ or the hybrid ‘crob’, we have a soft spot for the ‘curve’. Popular for its sleek yet effortless look, the sculptural curve bob softly frames the face perfectly.
You may have seen celebs sporting it left, right and centre recently, from Selena Gomez to Beyoncé, so it’s safe to say that this bob trend isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
“A curved bob is a strong A-line shape that drops as it hugs around the jaw line, it also has a slight graduated edge that removes weight on the perimeter and leaves it easier to blow dry,” says Amelia Evans, artistic director and head of education at Hare & Bone Fitzrovia.
The good news? This bob plays well with any face shape or hair texture, making it extremely versatile.
When it comes to upkeep, Evans believes this is just as high maintenance as any other bob out there, and keeping the shape is key – you may need a few more trims than if you were growing out your hair. “I would always recommend 10 weeks as your sweet spot,” she says. “It’s always nice to let your bob grow down and enjoy it at each stage to see where you prefer the lengths to be.”
If this sounds like the bob for you, we’ve rounded up some of the best curve bob inspiration pictures to ease you into the haircut.
